This high end digital film camera is designed for productions that demand the highest possible image fidelity while maintaining the robust ergonomics of a traditional cinema body. At its core is a Super 35 sensor with a native resolution of 12 288 by 6 480 pixels, capturing an impressive 80 megapixels per frame. With 14 stops of dynamic range and the latest Blackmagic color science, it delivers smooth highlight roll off, deep shadow detail and highly accurate color reproduction suitable for premium cinema and episodic work. 

The integrated optical low pass filter is specifically tuned for the extreme resolution of the sensor, significantly reducing moiré and aliasing artifacts. This makes the camera particularly well suited for virtual production, large scale LED volumes and visual effects heavy workflows, where clean edges and stable textures are essential. The sensor architecture is optimized for multi resolution capture, allowing seamless in sensor scaling to 8K and 4K without cropping or altering the field of view. Oversampling from 12K results in exceptionally clean lower resolution images with enhanced sharpness and reduced noise.

Recording is handled in Blackmagic RAW, a highly efficient 12 bit codec designed to preserve full sensor data while keeping file sizes practical. This enables smooth post production workflows, including the ability to edit 12K material on modern workstations while retaining full control over exposure, white balance and gamma. A wide range of frame rates is supported, including up to 60 frames per second in 12K, 120 frames per second in 8K and up to 240 frames per second in 4K Super 16 mode. 

The camera is built for professional set use, featuring a user interchangeable lens mount with a PL mount supplied as standard, plus optional EF and F mounts. Built in IR ND filters with four positions allow fast exposure control while maintaining color accuracy. Recording options include dual CFast 2.0 and SD UHS II card slots, as well as direct recording to external SSDs via the integrated SuperSpeed USB C connection. Professional 12G SDI connectivity, balanced XLR audio inputs and a highly accurate internal timecode generator ensure seamless integration into demanding production environments. DaVinci Resolve Studio is included, providing a complete end to end post production solution.
