Barrel Fermented Pale Ale 6.0%

A golden pale ale fermented in charred American oak. Being a huge fan of Czech and German Pils we wanted to create a beer that took inspiration from these styles but is still very much a barrel fermented ale using our process. We understood that we needed a more flavourful base malt backbone to work with the oak, so couldn’t use traditional pilsner malts, instead deciding that munich malt would provide what we needed. Once the base malt issue was solved we decided on a traditional pilsner hop variety and hopping regime to finish out the beer. This beer is certainly nothing like a traditional pilsner but is very drinkable and unique in its own way. -Su Legno
