I am very happy with the purchase of this saddle. This style of rough out/smooth leather is attractive and can be hard to find. Saddle is comfortable, lots of padding in the seat, however I find the fenders a bit stiff, but should break in ok. Maybe I just need to get used to the rough out leather. It doesn't have blevin buckles, has something else, like the blevin better. I did not have trouble with the in skirt rigging, as others have said. The d ring could be a little bigger, but I think the problem is the latigo that comes on the saddle is thick. Perhaps changing it out to a thinner one would help. The saddle is very heavily oiled, too much in my opinion, and it is darker than pictured. The oil gets on you when you ride.
