This is a spectacularly beautiful acrostic ring with big, bright gems spelling out a secret message. Featuring an amethyst, diamond, opal, ruby and an emerald, the first letter of each of these gemstones spell out the word ‘ADORE’.

Set in 18ct gold, these bright gems are lively and in excellent condition. The band is currently a UK size L 1/2 (US size 6) but it could be re-sized. It weighs a very healthy 4.13g. The 18ct gold band is not hallmarked but it has been tested for 18ct Gold and i would date it to the 1950s.

'Acrostic' rings have always been extremely popular and in Victorian times, were used to express a secret romantic message to their loved one spelt out in gemstones. This one let the wearer know that they were 'adored'.
