Brand

Hackney Herbal are a London based collective with a mission to educate people how to incorporate herbs into their lifestyles for health and improved wellbeing. Their herbal tea blends are created through the harvest of their patchwork of gardening sites across Hackney. They garden following permaculture principles, working with nature to enhance biodiversity and take care of wildlife at all of their growing sites. As well as growing herbs they grow a range of other beneficial plants to provide forage and habitat for wildlife, and run a variety of social enterprise volunteering sessions and community projects. All profits go towards community wellbeing initiatives.

Founded in 2013 by New Zealander Olivia Crighton, Glasshouse was born from a belief in the superiority of natural ingredients, with consideration for the environment. Key Ingredients

Nettle | One of the oldest recorded remedies used for treating and preventing hair loss. Nettle leaves and stalks are a rich source of essential vitamins and minerals crucial for hair health, including Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E, as well as minerals including folate, riboflavin, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, and manganese. Nettle also contains silica, reinforcing hair and skin and stimulating hair growth by enhancing blood circulation to strengthen the hair shaft.

Lemon Balm | Contains antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties. A rich source of several flavonoids, vitamin C, thiamin and phytochemicals. Lemon balm acts as a strong antioxidant and prevents free radical damage to the hair and scalp which can help to combat premature graying. It contains rosmarinic acid, which has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to stimulate blood flow.

Oat Straw | Contains B vitamins and minerals and is high in silica and magnesium. It also contains all of the anti-inflammatory properties that oats do, helping to aid in healing itchy or sensitive scalp and skin.

Skullcap | Contains a Flavaoid called Biacalin, packed with antioxidants and essential nutrients. This stimulates the roots and improves scalp microcirculation, helping to improve overall scalp and hair health.

Rosemary | Widely acknowledged for hair growth, containing carnosic acid that carries anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help rejuvenate tissue in your body. Stimulates follicles on the scalp to make hair grow longer and stronger, whilst slowing down premature hair loss.

Directions

Infuse one heaped tablespoon in boiling water and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes before straining and enjoying.
