Operation: The spring-loaded poppet begins to close as flow decreases and fully closes at zero velocity, minimizing reverse flow and hydraulic shock. The compact wafer design supports installation between flanges and allows direct mounting of butterfly valves in 2"–6" sizes without a spacer.
