Recommendations:
Fill the system to the hot level indicator on the dip stick when cold after this overflow kit is installed. 

If you track your M3, you've likely popped the bonnet/hood to discover power steering fluid has gone everywhere! Many resort to a sock wrapped around the reservoir however, an oil soaked fabric above the exhaust manifold is not desirable nor does it return the captured fluid back into the system which then requires regular top ups. 

This is a track tested solution that uses a stainless steel hose barb that screws straight into the existing breather port on the E9X M3 power steering reservoir lid, oil rated hose and an aluminium reservoir to capture the fluid that is ejected from the reservoir as the fluid gets hot and sloshes around. 

Best of all, the hose is plumbed into the bottom of the overflow tank so that when the system cools and draws air back in, it will automatically suck any captured fluid back into the factory reservoir!

We suggest applying a liquid thread sealer when screwing the hose barb into the reservoir lid to prevent weeping around the threads.
