It combines a SMPTE-2110 to baseband converter with a 40-button switcher control panel, restoring fast local front-panel operation alongside dependable SDI and HDMI monitoring directly from the rack. A large 5-inch built-in LCD screen displays incoming video so engineers can confirm sources during setup, rehearsals and on-air operation without leaving the equipment room.

At the heart of the panel is a high-performance IP monitoring converter fed by two redundant 10G Ethernet connections carrying SMPTE-2110 streams. The unit converts a single IP video stream to two 12G-SDI outputs and an HDMI 2.0 output, supporting formats up to 2160p60 with 10-bit 4:2:2 color in Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020. Full ST 2022-7 seamless protection switching across the two 2110 networks delivers the reliability demanded by mission-critical broadcast and live event workflows, while a 1G RJ45 connection handles switcher control and NMOS management.

Designed for engineering and multi-M/E environments, the Rack Panel 40 adds a full button surface for local switcher control plus integrated talkback over a 5-pin XLR connection for clear crew communication.
