Effects of this medicine
・This medicine restricts the action of the lymphocytes controlling immune function and the cells associated
with inflammation, and shows immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory effects.
・It is usually used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, plaque psoriasis with inadequate response to local therapy, psoriatic arthritis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis associated with arthral symptom.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・For rheumatoid arthritis, plaque psoriasis with inadequate response to local therapy, psoriatic arthritis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis : In general, take 6 mg of the active ingredient as a single dose or in two to three divided doses on a weekly basis. ・When dividing doses, take this medicine every 12 hours from day 1 to day 2. Do not take this medicine for the remaining 6 days (if taken as a single dose or in two divided doses) or 5 days (if taken in three divided doses). This cycle is repeated every week. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age, symptoms, tolerability or response to this medicine. However, the maximum weekly dose is 16 mg.
・For juvenile idiopathic arthritis associated with arthral symptom: In general, take 4 to 10 mg/m2 of the active ingredient as a single dose or in two to three divided doses on a weekly basis. When dividing doses, take this medicine every 12 hours from day 1 to day 2. Do not take this medicine for the remaining 6 days (if taken as a single dose or in two divided doses) or 5 days (if taken in three divided doses). This cycle is repeated every week. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age, symptoms, tolerability or response to this medicine.
・This medicine contains 2 mg of the active ingredient in a capsule. Strictly follow the instructions.
・This medicine may cause esophageal ulcers if it stays in the esophagus, so take it with a large amout of water or lukewarm water. Avoid taking this medicine just before bedtime.
・If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have bone marrow suppression, chronic liver diseases, renal disorder, pleural effusion/ascites or active tuberculosis.
・If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or possibly pregnant.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
・Women should avoid pregnancy while taking this medicine and at least until the second menstruation is confirmed, because cases of suspected teratogenicity have been reported. Men should be careful so that his partner does not get pregnant while taking this medicine and for at least 3 months after discontinuation of this medicine.

・This medicine may decrease the immunity of the body and increase the vulnerability to infections such as cold. Pay attention not to get infected, such as by avoiding crowds and washing hands and gargling after getting home.
