This is a drawing of a one-year-old child who resides at CHiPs. I worked to apply some of the artistic styles of the Renaissance master Madonna and Child paintings to this work.
This piece is part of my upcoming exhibition – The Faces of CHiPs - What if God lived in Gowanus? – a series of studies and portraits of the people of CHiPs, a soup kitchen/residence that has served my neighborhood for 50 years. All proceeds from sales of paintings and prints will be donated to CHiPs to further their mission.
The original is 10" x 8" and is framed and matted in a 16" x 13" black frame with a simple white mat. The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original. They are printed on 11" x 8.5" archival Hahnemuhle German Etching paper with a .5" border on the sides and 1" borders on the top and the bottom.
