This set of (three) note cards features orchids as depicted by Paul J Sweany (1927-2009). Paul was an active member of the Indiana Orchid Society for many years and grew his own orchids at his studio greenhouse in Indianapolis. He even propagated a new orchid that he named after his wife (Margaret Sweany). It is listed in the international orchid records. I am certain he is turning over in his grave with our lack of proper orchid identification titles for his paintings. I hope he forgives us. Feel free to contact the gallery if you know the correct scientific names for his orchid images! The giclee reproductions are from the artist's original transparent  watercolors. Images include, Purple & White Orchids (1995), Orange Cattleya on Black Background (1986) and White-on-White Orchids(1984).
