2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the Seiko diver’s watch. Since creating Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko has continuously advanced in diver’s watchmaking to meet the demands of professional divers worldwide. This pioneering dive watch pursued reliability and safety, paving the way for many future innovations.

This new Prospex 1968 Heritage Diver's GMT exemplifies a premium tool watch inspired by a marine-sport lifestyle, and Seiko's incredible heritage in underwater exploration. As a nod to this realm, the watch has an oceanic blue ceramic bezel and silvery white dial to create a fresh and clean appearance. Its GMT indicator is treated with a bright red color in contrast. 

The 1968 Heritage Diver’s GMT Watch is powered by the Caliber 6R54, which features a GMT function that allows it to display the time in two different time zones. The watch’s specifications have been enhanced to offer 300-meter water resistance. This reference is also equipped with Seiko's newest bracelet clasp, which allows a 15mm adjustment range, and can be easily extended or shortened in six 2.5mm increments by pressing side buttons. This ensures a comfortable fit over a wetsuit or over a bare wrist, adapting to changes in wrist size caused by diving pressure or the weather.
