"Found Feather" Original Wax Encaustic Art PieceThis original art piece uses my photograph of a found feather resting softly on the keys of an antique typewriter. The piece features layers of encaustic (beeswax) medium and oil pigments. Edges of the piece are midnight blue and feature drips from the hot beeswax medium, which adds to the tactile nature of the finished piece. The encaustic wax encases the images, and each new layer of wax lets the layers below show through. These small original art
