NETGEAR SFP+ Transceiver, 10GBase-LR Lite for single mode 9/125µm fiber

The NETGEAR AXM764 is a 10 Gigabit SFP+ transceiver in the ProSafe line, providing 10GBase-LR Lite fiber connectivity for managed switching. It targets installations that need 10G links over existing single mode cabling at moderate distances, and it supports hot-swappable installation and removal in standard SFP+ interfaces for service without downtime planning around the slot.

The module fits SFP+ interfaces on M5300, M6100, M7100, and M7300 series Managed Switches, plus select Smart and Plus switches. With an LC duplex connector, it drives 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 2 km (1.243 miles) over legacy 9/125µm single mode fiber. Although LR Lite is not yet a formal standard, it interoperates with the AXM762 (10GBASE-LR) within that 2 km limit.
