Faraway tells the story of the mysterious continent of Alula, where the people live in harmony with nature and the ever-changing landscapes. The only way to explore Alula is to go on quests again and again. Along the way, you collect resources that you need to complete the quests. For completed quests, you receive points, which can give you the profit.

What makes Faraway unique is the scoring. Players play in 8 rounds, 8 region cards from left to right in their own playing area. The scoring at the end of the game is from right to left, which requires a lot of thinking and planning during the game. The scoring is done card by card and gradually more and more of the previously played region cards, including bonuses and resources, are counted. In this way, cards become worth more and more points.

Each round consists of 3 phases, which are completed by all players at the same time. At the end of the game, the points are counted. The one with the most points wins the game.
