Liverpool Five
Description:
The debut U.S. album by the Liverpool Five, a talented band that came to Japan under the name of the Liverpool Beatles and influenced the GS of the time, has been reissued! Liverpool Five. This album, "Arrive," was released in 1966 after their arrival in the US. Just by listening to the opening track (M-1), you can tell that the band is the "real deal. The essence of many songs come to mind, but the garage rock feel of this era is combined with a catchy pop sensibility that is charming and really cool! The wide-ranging and unexpected cover selections include Paul Revere & The Raiders, Teddy Randazzo, The Impressions, and Petula Clark, and the results are exceptional. Includes 9 bonus tracks, including singles. Commentary: Toru Ueshiba
