Dexter Gordon
Description:
It is said that Dexter Gordon was at his most creative in the 1960s and early 1970s when he spent time in Europe, playing at the prestigious jazz club "Montmartre Jazz House" in Copenhagen until 1976, just before he returned to his native USA. Many of his recordings have been recorded and broadcast by Danish Broadcasting Corporation and released on CD by Steeplechase, but this 1974 recording is the first time all but a few of the songs were broadcast! This is a masterpiece of relaxed yet highly tense playing! Kenny Drew on piano, Mats Vinding on bass, and Ed Sigpen on drums. A long-awaited release for Dexter fans!
