A 1965 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder, and a 1972 Officer of the Order of Canada, Hewitt passed away in 1985 at the age of 82 at his Scarborough, Ontario nursing home
Autograph is in excellent shape with no smudging or bleeding. Page is in great condition with some light surface creasing but was removed carefully from the original album book with no rips or tears. Very small stain spot near the top left corner

The signatures in this listing came from an autograph book owned by Donald Deas. He took this book to many NHL games and secured numerous signatures of NHL players. Most of the autographs in the book were secured during the 1936/1937 NHL season with a few others collected into the early 1940s. The ability to collect the signatures was facilitated by a friendship Mr. Deas had with Maple Leaf Gardens official scorer Bill Graham Jr. The autograph book had been stored away by the family over the last 80 years.
