Winner of the Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs in 1942, 1947, and 1948, Captain of the team from 1940-1943 and again from 1945-1948, and had his #10 retired by the team
After his long stories NHL career, Apps was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961, and served as a Progressive Conservative Member of Provincial Party from 1963 to 1975
Apps passed away in 1998 at the age of 83
Autograph is in excellent shape with no smudging or bleeding. Page is in great condition with some light surface creasing but was removed carefully from the original album book with no rips or tears. Some very light soiling along right edge.

The signatures in this listing came from an autograph book owned by Donald Deas. He took this book to many NHL games and secured numerous signatures of NHL players. Most of the autographs in the book were secured during the 1936/1937 NHL season with a few others collected into the early 1940s. The ability to collect the signatures was facilitated by a friendship Mr. Deas had with Maple Leaf Gardens official scorer Bill Graham Jr. The autograph book had been stored away by the family over the last 80 years.
