This portrait of George Washington was made in 1803 by Gilbert Stuart. It was made based off of his own unfinished work the Athenaeum Portrait from 1796. The finished product resides in the Clark in Williamstown Massachusetts. The Athenaeum Portrait is kept in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
