Kaku Matsuoka (Permanent Conductor of the Amabile Philharmonic Orchestra)Kana Omori is a marimba player who is active on the world stage. Her long-awaited new work is one that sheds light on the "Marimba Concerto. The title piece (world premiere) by Hideaki Suzuki, Omori's dynamic marimba, and the happy chemical reaction with orchestra and chamber music will draw listeners into a whirlpool of delight. Please come and listen! ＜Kana Omori (Marimba)＞Osamori completed her graduate studies at Osaka College of Music and Munich University of Music and Drama, Germany, and won the first prize at the KOBE International Music Competition and the first prize at the International Percussion Competition in Italy. She was awarded the Town Cultural Prize by the town of Seika, Kyoto.He has been invited by the United States, Australia, Argentina, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Germany, and Switzerland to give solo recitals, master classes, and special lectures at music academies, as well as to teach at international marimba festivals and serve as a judge for international competitions. He has performed with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, The College Opera House Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Amabile Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. He has also released seven albums of world premieres and CD recordings of dedications by composers from around the world, and his album "Dawn Prayer" released in 2022 was selected as a semi-Special Mention by Record Geijutsu magazine. He has published many arrangement scores including "Toward the Dream...," an essay on his study in Germany, and "Classic Masterpieces Played on the Marimba," a collection of arranged scores.
