The 100th CD in the Opus Collection is the SP reissue of Furtwängler and the Vienna Philharmonic's Beethoven No. 7 (50 studios)! The 100th commemorative CD in the Opus collection is Furtwängler's Beethoven Symphony No. 7 recorded in Vienna in 1950. This is a reissue from SP with no female voice noise. Please enjoy the difference in sound from the LP (CD). Oberon is a different take from LP(CD). (Opus collection; Mr. Aihara) Furtwängler's Beethoven No. 7. I have long ranked this 50-year-old studio recording as one of the best, but the high notes were certainly annoying. Then the Opus Collection reissued the Berlin live recording from 1943 in excellent sound, and I decided this one as the best just a year or two ago. However, the same Opus label reissued the aforementioned 1950 CD in the same form as the original LP. I was not so sure about this one. The treble of the Viennese version still has some peaks, but the mid and bass tones are so robust that I don't mind them any more.Furtwängler was also on fire even though there was no audience in the studio, and the match was a draw, or perhaps the Vienna version was slightly better. The Opus Collection is really a very busy place. （This is a tie, or perhaps the Viennese version is just a little bit better.
