Originally published by Amberley in 2010 the book has been rewritten, expanded and updated.

It now has 150 illustrations including 70 portraits – many rarely shown or never before published – and Jacobite-related objects belonging to National Museums Scotland.

The cover features a recently discovered portrait of the prince by Rosalba Carriera.
