Stiff Little Fingers
Description:
Stiff Little Fingers is a punk band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. From a city that had been under the brunt of the conflict, the band roared with a raucous spirit that carried a message about the Irish conflict and a radical sound that seemed to reflect the transition from punk to hardcore, earning them the nickname "The Irish Clash. Their debut album "INFLAMMABLE MATERIAL" is back on 180 gram black analog for the 40th anniversary of its release! Released in 1979, it rose to #14 on the UK Albums Chart. This was the first time an album by an indie label entered the Top 20 on the UK Albums Chart. The radical and aggressive lyrics and sound of the album, which could be called Northern Ireland's answer to the Clash and the Sex Pistols, were a big hit at the time. The Stiff Little Fingers have since gone through a series of member changes, breakups, and reunions, but they continue to be active, releasing albums and touring, led by frontman Jake Barnes.
