Pastedown to front cover of Mudie’s subscription lending library. Slight soiling, considerable shelf-wear and corners bumped. Front hinge weak but intact. Bookplate of S.London Botanical Inst and library stamps to inside free end-paper and title page. Text clean with slight foxing to first and last 2-3 pages. In good condition.

This chapter was published posthumously and includes a summary N-S section through the Wealden anticline at Harting. The main author refers (end note p492) to an inserted map from Mantell’s Geology of Sussex. This is missing but a colour lasercopy is included.
