Details: This family fare, which is both scary and comic, is about the wily Ichabod Crane (played by Tony Award Winner Brent Carver) who arrives in Sleepy Hollow, a quiet, rural Dutch community, and talks himself into a position as the area's schoolmaster. This lanky stranger owns only an ill-fitting suit and four books. The village men are wary of him, but the women are charmed by his genteel manners and educated ways. With his eyes and heart set on the lovely Katrina Van Tassel, the daughter of the area's wealthiest farmer, Ichabod tries his best to woo her away from Brom Bones, the handsome village blacksmith. Brom terrorizes the hapless schoolteacher during a gloomy night, but in the middle of the prank, the real Headless Horseman appears and chases Ichabod Crane away - forever!
